Active Adults Have Ample Choices for Homes in Johnson Communities
A master-planned community is more than just homes. These types of communities — like the ones built by Johnson Development — offer a wide range of amenities. There might be a fitness center (or two) where you don’t have to purchase a gym membership to use. You’ll find parks, playgrounds, lakes and trails. You have access to pools, tennis courts and beautiful clubhouses — all without the pricey country club membership.
Master-planned communities typically have commercial corridors, so you don’t have to travel far to go to the store, drop off dry cleaning or visit the doctor. Many residents not only live in one of our communities — they work there, too! On-site schools mean young residents can walk or bike to school. Churches in our communities offer places to gather, worship and serve.
But at the heart of any master-planned community is its homes.
When developing a Johnson community, we strive to offer a place to live for every stage of life. We work with our builders to keep homes attainable for first-time homebuyers whenever possible. Those moving up will find larger homes available in their community. Active adults age 55 and older can even find homes built with their needs in mind within our communities of Bonterra at Cross Creek Ranch, Bonterra at Woodforest, Del Webb in Trinity Falls and Elements in Viridian.
And there are more opportunities for this market soon.
The Lofts at Pine Market complex is expected to open in July in Woodforest in Montgomery County. These urban-style apartments are for those age 55 and older. Floor plans include studio, one- and two-bedroom designs with plentiful windows, raised ceilings, spa-like bathrooms and stainless steel finishes in the kitchen. Fifty-one units are available. Built above a retail complex, they will offer an urban type of experience with dining and retail within walking distance.
More active adult apartment homes are now available at Arista Riverstone, an upscale complex for those age 62 and older. Fourteen floor plans are available, offering up to three bedrooms and two full baths. Sizes range from 658 to 1,514 square feet and all units have modern appliances, granite-topped kitchen islands, 9-foot ceilings and easy-care vinyl wood plank flooring in the kitchen, dining and living rooms. Walk-in closets with built-in bookshelves provide ample storage. Those who need more can inquire about private storage rooms available at the complex.
All apartments feature spacious patios with a storage closet. Select units even have a small fenced yard — something pet owners will greatly appreciate. Residents will also like the Sugar Land address and proximity to all of the shopping, dining and entertainment to be found there.
The Alders at Cross Creek, located in our Fulshear community of Cross Creek Ranch, is expected to be complete in January 2023. For those age 62 and older, the complex will offer 172 one- and two-bedroom apartments. Alders at Cross Creek will include approximately 19,000 square feet of club-like amenities, including a pub-style game room with private wine lockers, internet coffee bar, heated pool and spa, a fitness center, movie theater, arts and crafts room, hair and nail salon, putting green and dog park. An activities director will coordinate events.
